I chose the images of an angry gorilla and a pile of sandwich’s to show the frustration and repetition of daily life. The gorilla seems to be shy about choosing from the array of sandwiches, much as most people are shy about relaying what they really want out of a situation. I see the sandwiches as representing the choices we are faced with every day, choices that sometimes seem overwhelming or embarrassing. The gorilla being larger than the sandwiches shows that he is still in control of his choice, rather than the choices overwhelming or controlling the situation. Although his facial expression conveys uncertainty, he is still able to choose from the array of options. I hope the viewer can understand that although a choice may seem forced, unpleasant, or overwhelming there are always different options if you look hard enough.
